Republic Act No. 9710, also known as the "Magna Carta of Women", that spells out every woman's right to equal participation in sports. Women's Martial Arts Festival is now it's six edition, in which this tournament shows that women also have the benifit to join into sports, according to  PSC Commissioner Celia Kiram.

 

She also added that this activity includes measures to ensure that gender- based discrimination in competitive and non-competitive sports is removed so that women and girls can benifit from sports development.

Kiram featured 10 sports namely, Arnis, Fencing, Judo, Karatedo, Muay Thai, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, Wrestling and Wushu for this year, 2019 event.

Soon, there are other sports which will be included in the next edition. But for now, this event would empower and satisfy the women, who participated in said event.
